Skardu
Skardu is a city in the Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan and serves as the capital of Skardu District at the junction of the Indus and Shigar Rivers. It is located on the Indus River which separates the Karakoram Range from the Himalayas so it is an important gateway to Karakoram Mountains range.
Cold Desert is also known as Katpana Desert or Biama Nakpo situated near Skardu in the northern Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan, it is a high-altitude desert and it contains areas of large hills that sometimes are covered with snow during the winter season. Katpana Desert is one of the highest deserts in the world near Satpara Lake.
Lower Kachura Lake also known as Shangri-La Lake in Kachura village of Skardu city at a height of 2,500 meters, after a resort built on its edge in 1983 and distance at a drive of about 20 minutes from Skardu city. Attabad Lake is found in the Gojal town of Hunza Valley in Gilgit Baltistan, it was formed in 2010 due to a massive landslide blocking the River Hunza. Today, it is visited by thousands of visitors from Pakistan as well as international tourists from around the world.
Hunza and Khunjerab Pass
Hunza Valley is a mountainous valley in the Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan. The Valley is situated the northwest of Hunza River at an elevation of around 2,500 meters (8,200 ft) and the territory of Hunza is about 7,900 square kilometers (3,100 square miles).
Valley’s natural splendor and position on the Central Asian Silk Route have attracted travelers, merchants, and mountaineers for centuries. Ali Abad in Hunza is the main town and Baltit Fort is a popular tourist destination because of the spectacular scenery of the surrounding mountains so it must be seen one time in life.
Like Ultar Sar, Rakaposhi, Bojahagur Duanasir II, Ghenta Peak, Hunza Peak, Passu Peak, Diran Peak and Bublimotin (Ladyfinger Peak). Its height is around 6,000 meters (19,685 feet) or higher.
Khunjerab Pass also known as Pakistan China Border is another beauty because it is the main part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
